Character Counts
In fourth grade, we are continually working on promoting the 6 pillars of character; caring, citizenship, fairness, respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness.
We emphasize these through our classroom expectations. Each month a goal is set, letting the students know how many missteps they can make. If students successfully stay under that number, they are invited to a "character celebration." If students are responsible for homework, using their class time wisely, and making good choices throughout the school, they will have no problem meeting this goal! Students are given a "clean slate" at the beginning of each month so they always have a second chance to make more positive choices the next time.
